New Menu Items at Garage Bar

Looking for a flavorful pick-me-up? Try Garage Bar’s Bulgur Salad; a nutritious whole grain tossed with watercress and our house-made citrus vinaigrette. To complement the nutty flavors of the bulgur we char carrots with local honey from Hartford, Kentucky and lay the salad on top of a Greek yogurt that we load up with freshly cracked black pepper.  Veggie lovers will also enjoy our Oven Roasted Beets, slowly roasted in our wood burning oven and tossed with parsley, shallots, and a touch of red wine vinegar. A dollop of Kenny’s Cheese fromage blanc out of Austin, Kentucky, adds welcome decadence to this earthy dish. For those in search of something with a little more meat on its crust, we’ve got you covered. Our Sausage Pie is carefully crafted with a pesto pantesco base (a light, bright tomato pesto that contains garlic, shallots, capers, and mint) and Tutto Calabrian chilies for a spicy kick. Fior de latte mozzarella is layered on with our savory sausage, made with Woodland Farms bison from Goshen, Kentucky that’s been gently cooked and spiced in-house. Once the pizza emerges from the oven, it’s topped with shaved pecorino for added sharpness. This aromatic pizza is every bit as flavorful as it smells, but you don’t have to take our word for it.

Walk of Fame Brunch

The day after Halloween you’ll find us reveling in our antics from the night before. We’re embracing the previous night’s bacchanalia and wearing our evening proudly…the morning after. Disheveled princesses, smeared zombies and ripped masks are welcomed at this no judgement brunch. Here’s to us and being so awesome we don’t want the weekend to end! Come in your half costumes, and let’s celebrate our bad decisions. Oyster shooters, Bloody Mary’s, Bruhmosas and Corpse Reviver cocktails byWatershed Distillery will be on special. Plus, we’re giving out a prize for the best “un-costumed” attendee. Bottoms up! Brunch is on 11.01.15 from 11am-4pm

Halloween Absinthe Party

On SAT 10.31.15  it’s going to be a night dedicated to the Green Fairy at Garage Bar this Halloween. We’re throwing a bash chock-full of absinthe from Copper And Kings along with live music from DJ See Tai and Black Matter. We’ll be serving up a variety of absinthe libations including a traditional absinthe bar, plus Absinthe Frappes and our Corpse Reviver punch. We’re giving the pizza oven the night off, but no worries, there will be plenty of snacks and treats for those with beastly appetites. And don’t forget to come in costume! We’re holding two costume contests, one for best overall costume of the night and another for best Green Fairy costume. Doors open at 8pm.

Bourbon Aged Dinner

September is Bourbon Heritage Month and we’re ready to celebrate bourbon’s influence on some of our favorite craft spirits. For our final course, we’ll give you a little taste of the real thing with some Angel’s Envy. Each spirit in this four course dinner will be paired with dishes created by executive chef Richard Sible, including a Coffee Braised Pork Belly main course and a Chocolate Mousse with bourbon cherries to top it all off.
